The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Intense Arabica is the second release in the Harmony Collection, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. No coffee is used in making it. Whisky maker Steven Bremner drew on the character of Ethiopian Arabica for his cask selection and blending, in collaboration with pastry chef Jordi Roca of El Celler de Can Roca.
It was matured in sherry-seasoned American and European oak, and the packaging is made from recycled cascara, the dried husks of coffee cherries.
The palate is typically described as espresso and dark chocolate, with tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread, raisins and blackberry. A dark roast coffee note lingers on the finish.
