The Macallan Harmony Collection Orchid Honey Tea is a single malt inspired by JING's Phoenix Honey Orchid, a tea with lush dessert wine aromas and exotic fruit notes. It is bottled at 43.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was mainly matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, which give fruity and floral flavours. Sherry-seasoned European oak adds a roasted richness and a touch of astringency, while a few casks that previously held bourbon add a final sweetness, echoing the dessert wine aromas of the tea.
