This is a Speyside single malt from The Macallan's Harmony Collection, matured in sherry-seasoned casks together with American oak casks. The release is known for the part oak plays in its character, and its packaging uses natural materials.
The nose brings vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruits. On the palate come fresh citrus, caramel and gentle spice, with dark chocolate, oak and a lingering warmth of wood spices behind them. The mix of European and American oak is described as balancing sweetness with an earthy undertone.
