Vibrant Oak is the fourth release in The Macallan's Harmony Collection, an annual series, and was created in collaboration with the Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil. The whisky is bottled at 44.2% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in American and European sherry casks. For this release the gift boxes are made from waste material left over from the casks, in keeping with the series' aim of giving organic by-products a new purpose.
The nose is rich in vanilla, sorbet and lime, with pear alongside. The palate brings vanilla panna cotta, shortbread, coconut, almonds, apple and oak.
