The Macallan – Inspired by Intense Arabica (The Harmony Collection) (70cl, 44%)

The Macallan Inspired by Intense Arabica is the second limited edition in the Harmony Collection, a series that is released anew each year. This Speyside single malt is bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle and takes coffee as its theme. It was created by whisky maker Steven Bremner. As with the earlier Rich Cacao, the packaging and label are made from an organic by-product, this time the husks of coffee beans, and are fully recyclable. The nose offers tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread, raisins, almonds, sweet oak and vanilla. On the palate come espresso, dark chocolate, raisins, blackberries, nuts and sweet oak. The finish is long, with dark roasted coffee, balanced and sweet.
