The Macallan – M Black Decanter 2018 Release (70cl, 46.5%)

This is the 2018 release of The Macallan M Black, a single malt bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl Lalique black crystal decanter. It follows the M Decanter and carries Fabien Baron's design into black crystal. The whisky is a subtly smoky Macallan, and its colour is raw sienna. The nose combines vanilla cream sweetness with light smoke and earthy dark chocolate. On the palate, dried fruit and citrus give way to rich peat smoke, with smoked dried fruits and almondy nuttiness giving a chewy feel. The finish is long, with sweet dried fruit and sweet peat.
