M by The Macallan is a single malt made from seven selected first-fill European oak sherry casks, drawing on some of the rarest whiskies at the Macallan distillery. It sits at the top of the Macallan range and is housed in a geometric Lalique crystal decanter designed by Fabien Baron. It is bottled at 44.7% ABV.
The colour is rosewood. The nose brings dried fruits, vanilla, green apple, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and polished oak, with juicy, resinous orange. The palate opens rich in wood spices with flickers of wood smoke, and the long finish is led by raisin and sultana.
