The Macallan – No. 6 Lalique

The Macallan No. 6 is a single malt Scotch whisky presented in a hand-blown Lalique crystal decanter, made in France. It belongs to The Macallan's Masters of Photography and Lalique collaboration series, and is a limited, numbered release. The whisky is matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, which give it a deep mahogany colour. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. On the nose there are raisins, dates, figs and dried fruit, with dark chocolate, nutmeg and orange peel. The palate is silky, with sherry-soaked fruit, toasted oak, ginger, clove and vanilla, and the finish is very long and warm, with spice and fruit.
