The Macallan No. 6 is a single malt from the Masters Decanter Series, bottled at 43% ABV and presented in a hand-crafted Lalique crystal decanter. The six-faceted decanter was made exclusively for The Macallan, and its facets stand for the brand's Six Pillars.
The whisky is drawn only from first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks from a single cooperage in Jerez. It is bottled at natural colour, described as a Spanish sunset, and carries no age statement.
On the nose there are raisin, dates and figs with toffee apple, dry ginger, soft cinnamon and dark chocolate. The palate is rich with fruit cake, dried fruit, apple and orange, ginger, nutmeg and clove over soft oak. The finish is silky, long and full.
