The Macallan Rare Cask 2020 Release is a Speyside single malt, the second annual release in the Rare Cask series. It was bottled in 2020 at 43% and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is drawn from hand-selected sherry-seasoned oak casks, chosen by the Whisky Maker for a distinctive and complex flavour profile.
The nose is soft vanilla with raisin, sweet apple, lemon and orange. On the palate, intense sweet raisin gives way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of citrus zest. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
