The Macallan Rare Cask 2021 Release is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is the 2021 annual release in the Rare Cask range.
The whisky is drawn from hand-selected sherry seasoned oak casks, chosen by the Whisky Mastery Team for their deep ruby mahogany colour and sweet raisin character. The colour is entirely natural.
The nose combines soft vanilla and rich raisin with fresh apple, lemon and orange. On the palate, sweet raisin leads before vanilla and dark chocolate, with light citrus zest throughout. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
