The Macallan – Rare Cask 2024 (75cl)

The Macallan Rare Cask 2024 is a Speyside single malt made from rare Macallan casks, with an entirely natural deep ruby mahogany colour. This release is a collaboration with Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds, who explored the links between sound, aroma, flavour and colour through the shared element of wood. Working with a luthier in the south of Spain, he had a guitar made from the same European oak as the Macallan casks. The whisky is described as having an intense, sweet raisin flavour and a rich, velvety mouthfeel.
