The Macallan Rare Cask is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from casks picked out by the Whisky Mastery Team in the distillery's warehouses, a mix of American and European sherry-seasoned oak. The deep ruby mahogany colour is natural, with no added caramel.
The nose is soft vanilla and rich raisin, with fresh apple, lemon and orange. Raisin leads the palate, followed by vanilla, dark chocolate and light citrus zest. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
