The Macallan Rare Cask is a single malt bottled at 43% and mahogany in colour. It is drawn from 16 different cask types, the broadest range the Master Whisky Maker has identified.
The nose brings vanilla, raisin, chocolate, apple, lemon and orange, with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and mature oak behind. Spice leads on the palate, with raisin, polished oak and a background of vanilla and chocolate. The finish is full and warming, with light citrus zest.
