The Macallan Rare Cask is a single malt from the Macallan distillery in Speyside, drawn from a selection of sherry-seasoned oak casks. It carries no age statement.
It has a deep mahogany colour. The nose offers dried fruits, vanilla and dark chocolate, with subtle spice and a hint of orange zest. The palate brings raisins, nutmeg, ginger and a touch of toffee sweetness.
The finish is long and warm, with oak and spice lingering.
