The Macallan – Rare Cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 43%)

The Macallan Rare Cask is a no age statement single malt from the Speyside distillery, part of the 1824 Series and bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with no caramel added. The whisky is hand selected by the Master Whisky Maker from 16 different sherry cask styles, with a high proportion of first fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak. These casks make up less than 1% of those maturing at the Macallan estate. The result is a deep ruby mahogany colour. The nose is of vanilla and raisin, with fresh apple and lemon.
