The Macallan Ruby is a single malt Scotch whisky without an age statement, in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Macallan 1824 Series, which is built around colour and flavour drawn from a range of casks and liquid ages.
Ruby is matured exclusively in sherry oak casks from Jerez.
On the palate it shows ginger, nutmeg, orange and raisin, with a restrained but pervasive sweetness. The finish is long and lingering.
