This is a 12 year old single malt from The Macallan's Sherry Oak Collection, bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain.
The higher strength sets it apart from the standard Sherry Oak 12, and it is a limited edition. It has natural colour and is non-chill filtered.
The nose brings raisins, cinnamon, clove and orange zest. On the palate come rich oak, vanilla, nutmeg, dark chocolate and fig. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry spice and fruit.
