The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 55% ABV as a limited release.
The whisky spent twelve years in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, and its colour is natural.
The nose brings dried fruits, with dates, figs and raisins, alongside cherry compote, cinnamon, orange peel and cocoa. On the palate come dark chocolate, sultanas, treacle, espresso and oak spice. The finish is long and warming, with sherry, oak spice and sweet dried fruit.
