The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, and this is the 2022 annual release. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle and is of natural colour, a rich mahogany.
The whisky was matured for twenty-five years exclusively in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain.
The nose combines citrus with cinnamon, sherry and wood smoke. The palate is full and rich, with dried fruits and a hint of wood smoke, and the finish is long, with dried fruit, wood smoke and spice.
