The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Year Old is a single malt from the Macallan Estate in Speyside, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It is released each year in year-stamped editions.
The whisky spends the full twenty-five years undisturbed in hand-picked Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, which gives it a rich mahogany colour.
The nose is described as citrus balanced with cinnamon, sherry and wood smoke. The palate is full and rich, with dried fruits and a hint of wood smoke, and the long finish carries dried fruit, wood smoke and spice.
