The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in its 2024 release, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. All of its 30 years were spent in hand-selected European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
It is natural colour, a dark mahogany, and was distilled and matured on the Macallan Estate. The 2024 release came with imagery of the Estate by photographer Erik Madigan Heck.
The nose offers honeycomb, toffee, red apple, fig and vanilla pod. Cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and dried fruits lead the palate, and the finish is sweet oak, soft spice and toffee.
