The Matsui Single Cask Sakura is a Japanese single cask whisky matured in a sakura cask, made from cherry wood. Cherry is an uncommon choice of wood, and it adds subtle floral and lightly woody notes.
The nose is floral, recalling cherry blossom, with vanilla, light wood and a fruity touch. The palate shows white fruit and delicate wood with a little spice, on a silky texture. The finish is long and floral, with a light woody trace.
