The Pogues Blended Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

The Pogues is a blended Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and produced in small batches. It was created by master whiskey maker Frank McHardy. Half of the blend is single malt: 10 year old aged in sherry oak casks and 7 year old aged in bourbon oak casks. The other half is 4 year old grain whiskey aged in bourbon oak casks. The nose offers malt, roasted almonds, spice and dark chocolate. The palate brings citrus, spice, cracked pepper and dark fruit with a hint of sweetness, and the finish is balanced, rounded and long.
