The Quiet Man is an 8 year old Irish single malt, bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is first matured in wooden casks, then filled into new bourbon casks for a further stage, and it was stored in Londonderry in the north of Ireland.
The brand is named after the founder's father, a bartender who worked for more than 50 years in bars and pubs in and around Belfast.
The nose combines citrus, fruity sweetness, pot still spice, bitter almond, apricot, a hint of red wine and a trace of smoke. The palate offers citrus, peach, malt and some wood, with the smoke returning. The finish is long and spicy with fruit.
