The Quiet Man Traditional Irish Whiskey is a blend with a higher malt content than is typical, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It was created by Ciaran Mulgrew of Niche Drinks in Derry, Northern Ireland.
The spirit comes from established Irish distilleries and is matured for four years in Derry, then finished in first-fill bourbon casks of American white oak.
The nose is light and floral, with citrus peel, honey and a trace of candied fruit. The palate is soft and sweet, with vanilla, banana, honey and a biscuity malt base. The finish is quick and clean, fading to toffee and butterscotch.
