The Real McCoy 12 Year Old Rum Distiller's Proof is a Caribbean rum produced at a historic distillery in Barbados. It is made exclusively from high-quality molasses and aged for at least 12 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks.
It shows an intense amber colour, with aromas of vanilla, toasted wood, cinnamon, clove, banana and mature coconut. The palate is full, soft yet assertive, with a long, enveloping finish carrying caramel and sweet tobacco. It can be enjoyed neat or with a little water, and pairs well with dark chocolate desserts, fine cigars or spicy Caribbean dishes.
