The Senator Barrel Proof 6 Year Old Fall 2019

The Senator Barrel Proof is a six-year-old straight rye whiskey, released as a seasonal bottling in Fall 2019. It is bottled at full barrel proof, without dilution. The mash bill is high in rye, which gives bold spice balanced by natural sweetness. The nose offers warm baking spices, caramelised sugar, toasted oak and a hint of orange peel. On the palate, robust rye spice comes first, with dark caramel, vanilla, peppercorn and a little dried fruit. The finish is long and warming, with cinnamon, oak char and a touch of sweetness.
