The Shinobu Pure Malt Mizunara Oak is a blended malt whisky from Niigata, Japan, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted barley, drawn from a selection of distilleries.
The whisky is aged in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Mizunara oak. It is bottled at 43% ABV with no added colouring.
The nose brings vanilla, plum and mint. The palate is smooth, with gentle sweetness, spice, citrus and smoky oak, and the medium finish is woody and slightly bitter with a cooling minty note.
