This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Macduff distillery in Banffshire, distilled in 2011 and selected for The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks series.
It was created from a small batch of three sherry butts and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is orchard fruit, green apple and pear, with light honey and a faint coastal saltiness. The palate brings sweet malt, honey, baked apple, pear and orange zest, with white pepper and a touch of hazelnut. The finish is soft oak and a lingering, gentle saltiness.
