The Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was introduced to take the place of the Singleton of Auchroisk.
The whisky is matured in a high proportion of European oak casks. It is described as a straightforward, nutty and malty malt, and it is suggested as a base for a classic Highball.
The nose is malty, with barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut. On the palate, orange zest spice runs over nuts, oak and toffee, with hints of cut grass. The finish is oaky and rich, with good length and some fruit lingering.
