Experimental finish with European and Pyrenean oak ends
This is a 14 year old single malt from Glen Ord, the Highland distillery behind The Singleton. It is the Autumn Walk expression in the 2024 Special Releases, in a 70cl bottle at 54.7% ABV. It began with three parallel primary maturations in ex-bourbon, rejuvenated ex-wine and refill casks. These were vatted together and finished in experimental casks with European and Pyrenean oak ends. The nose is mellow, with orange sponge cake, vanilla, flaked almonds and a light green note of sugar snap peas. The palate is creamy, sweet then tart with Seville orange peel, ending in pepper. The finish is long, warming and spicy.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
