Glenshiel is a 10 year old Highland single malt bottled by The Sipping Shed at a cask strength of 59.4%, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel, and the outturn is 102 bottles. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose is floral, with apple skins, toffee and spice, then vanilla, coconut and tinned peaches as it opens. Water brings out apple crumble with custard. On the palate, gentle malt and oak spice sit with vanilla custard, heather and a little cappuccino. The finish is medium, moving between spicy and juicy, with a dry touch of heather at the end.
