The Speyside Connection is the fourth edition of North Star Spirits' Connections series, a blended malt in a 70cl bottle. It brings together 35 year old Macallan, 20 year old Tamdhu and 10 year old Macallan, all matured in sherry butts and hogsheads.
The age statement of 10 years reflects the youngest component, distilled in 2016. The whisky was bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 52%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
Sultanas, honey toffee and cinnamon mark the nose, with polished oak beneath. The palate is creamy with lively fruit and warmth, and the long, warm finish carries fruit, spice and sherry.
