The Tops is a malt whisky from the House of Hazelwood Legacy Collection, bottled at 51.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines whiskies from the Gordon family's own reserves, aged for a minimum of 33 years, and is heavily sherried. The release is limited to 523 bottles.
The nose brings treacle, toffee, deep coffee, marzipan, maraschino cherries, dark chocolate, forest floor and subtle floral notes. The palate has an almost sticky texture, with dark fruit sweetness, caramel, toasted citrus peel, nutmeg and liquorice. The finish is long and warming, with hints of sherbet.
