A 13-year-old single malt from Glenrothes in Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 for The Whisky Cellar's Private Cellars Selection. It was finished in an oloroso sherry octave, a cask about one-eighth the size of a traditional butt.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 50.1% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtration. The outturn is 170 bottles.
The tasting notes describe dried figs, raisins, cinnamon and vanilla on the nose. The palate is full and mouth-coating, with dark chocolate, ripe plums and a subtle oak note, and the finish is long, warming and slightly sweet, with a hint of sherry and spice.
