A 7 year old Irish single malt from Boann, bottled at a cask strength of 59%. It spent its first five years in Bourbon barrels and a further two in first fill Sherry hogsheads. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added caramel colouring.
The aroma is strong and well developed, rising from the glass as soon as the nose approaches. On the palate it is creamy, with salted caramel, apples and orange peel, along with citrus fruit and a little white pepper. A drop or two of water lets it open further. The finish is warming and lasting, with a light spiciness.
