The Blue Note is the flagship of Boann, an Irish single malt aged 7 years and bottled at 46%. It spent its first five years in Bourbon barrels and a further two in first fill Sherry hogsheads, which gave it notes of dark dried fruit. It is non-chill-filtered, has no added caramel colouring and has won gold at the World Whisky Awards. The nose is sweet, with citrus, creamy salted caramel, blackcurrant and dark fruit. In the mouth there is more sweetness from the long time in sherry casks. The finish is long and lasting, with citrus and a pleasant note of the cask.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
