Thiénot Vintage 2008 Champagne Magnum (1.5L)

This is a vintage Champagne from Thiénot, made in 2008 and bottled as a magnum. It is an equal blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Alain Thiénot made his name in Champagne as a winemaker and négociant, which gave him close contacts among growers. His children now run the house and have been buying smaller Champagne houses to safeguard quality, bringing more than 46 hectares of vineyard into the family's hands. 2008 is regarded as one of the great Champagne vintages. This wine is very aromatic, with a lively, sparkling freshness.
