Barrel Symphony Composition No. 1 is a cask-strength blend of straight bourbon and straight rye whiskey from Thirteenth Colony Distilleries in Americus, Georgia. It is a 2026 release in a 75cl squat decanter bottle.
Both whiskeys were aged in oak and combined at full strength rather than reduced to a standard proof. The composition number marks this as the first release in a series.
The nose is described as caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with honey, brown sugar and warm baking spice. On the palate, caramel and vanilla sit against rye spice, dried fruit and chocolate, with the weight of cask strength. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness, oak and spice.
