Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye is a straight rye whiskey, here in its 2022 release. It is bottled unfiltered and uncut at 130.9 proof, which is 65.45% ABV.
The rye was distilled in the spring of 2016 and aged in Warehouses I, L and M.
The nose brings bubble gum, cinnamon spice, raisin, fennel and orange zest. On the palate there is heat up front, then raisin, tobacco, red cinnamon candy, anise and baking spices, punchy with spice. The finish is long, with rye spice, cinnamon candy and raisin.
