Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey 2025 (63.6%)

Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye is a straight rye whiskey bottled uncut and unfiltered, straight from the barrel at 127.2 proof (63.6%). It is named after the New Orleans bartender who first used rye whiskey in the Sazerac cocktail. This is the 2025 release, and it is bottled in the way such whiskey was a century ago. The palate is powerful and lush with bold spice, led by toffee, fig cake and candied fruit, then mint, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and warm, with allspice, coconut and nutmeg.
