Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is a straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, here in its 2023 release. It is bottled at 62.85% ABV in a 75cl-sized 750ml bottle, a high strength that sits alongside its bold, spice-led character.
The nose brings dried fruits, vanilla and a touch of caramel. On the palate, rich spice comes through, with cinnamon, clove and a hint of nutmeg. It can be taken neat or used as the base for classic cocktails.
