This is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from Scotland, bottled by Thompson Bros. in a 70cl bottle at 45.7%. A rum cask finish adds fruity, sweet notes to a smoky character. The outturn is 895 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
It is pale gold in the glass. The nose has pronounced peat smoke with vanilla, ripe exotic fruit, and hints of caramel and spiced wood. The palate is soft, with tropical fruit and caramel sweetness while the smoke stays in the background. The finish is long, fruity, with a dry, spicy side.
