This is a 25 year old Ardmore single malt from independent bottler Thompson Bros, in a 70cl bottle at a natural strength of 48.9%.
It is a vatting of two refill bourbon casks, and only 463 bottles were produced.
The nose combines Sindhri mango, kumquat and fennel leaves with farmyard and scented petrol notes, and a gorse bush on fire. On the palate come barbecued yellow fruits, lemongrass and eucalyptus in a creamy texture, with phenols and sweetness in good balance. The finish is dark chocolate and biscoff, ending ashy and round.
