This is a 30 year old Speyside single malt, bottled independently by Thompson Bros. It was distilled in 1990 at an unnamed Speyside distillery and aged for 30 years, with 278 bottles filled.
The nose combines caramel, toffee apples and poached pears with bold oak and malty biscuit. The palate coats the mouth with sweet honey, cooked fruit, burnt caramel and dried wood, then spicy ginger and chilli. The finish is sweet floral melon and tropical fruit, with rich, lingering oak and creamy barley.
