Three Chord Amplify Rye Whiskey (75cl, 47.5%)

A rye whiskey from Neil Giraldo's Three Chord range, made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and bottled at 47.5% ABV. It blends a young Kentucky rye with an older Indiana rye. The two are married in tank, then returned to barrel together for two to six months before a finish under the brand's trademarked Perfectly Tuned Taste process, in which tonal vibrations are applied to the resting whiskey. The nose is floral, with citrus, black cherry and rye spice. The palate is chewy, with sweetness up front and rye spice behind, plus citrus peel, black pepper, mild clove and black cherry. The finish is silky, with herbal mint and a mild warmth.
