This is the flagship bottling in Neil Giraldo's Three Chord range, a blended bourbon at 40.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Giraldo is Pat Benatar's guitarist.
It blends Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee bourbons, including some up to 12 years old, on a mash of 73% corn, 20% rye and 7% malted barley. The blend is finished with toasted American oak staves and the brand's Perfectly Tuned Taste tonal-vibration process, and bottled in small batches of about 250 gallons.
The nose offers maple syrup, caramel and vanilla. The palate is lightly sweet and grassy at first, with spice giving way to light citrus and mild charred oak, and the finish is lingering honeycomb with mild warmth.
