Tim Smith Southern Reserve Rye Whiskey is an American rye bottled at 45% ABV, or 90 proof, in a 75cl bottle. It comes from Tim Smith, a third-generation moonshiner from Climax, Virginia, known as a star of Discovery Channel's Moonshiners. Southern Reserve is his range of sipping whiskeys. The rye pours golden amber. On the nose it shows spicy rye, vanilla and caramel. The palate is full-bodied, with bold rye spice, caramel, honey and toasted oak, and the finish is long and warm with lingering spice.
