Timorous Beastie 40 Year Old is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, made entirely from malt whisky from Dalmore, Glengoyne, Glen Garioch and Blair Athol. It is bottled at 54.7% in a 70cl bottle, as a limited edition of 1,080 bottles released in 2015.
The nose has sweet spices, cereals and honeycomb. The palate is sweet, with crunched sugar, a mature malt character and more spices. The finish is elegant and fruity yet understated, with a honeyed Highland character.
